Usually, to transmit the electricity generated by wind turbines and solar panels at 690V, 800V, and 1140V over long distances, the voltage must be increased through a boosting device. The boosting equipment is a box type substation installed outside the wind turbine tower and on the ground of the solar panel, which is a common form in China at present. 

Conventional box type transformers are widely used in power plants, residential areas, streets, large construction sites, high-rise buildings, parks, commercial centers, light stations, airports, enterprises, hospitals, schools, and temporary facilities on both sides of roads in urban networks.
